Dick Goebel, DVM

Our profession has honored Dr. Goebel with service awards from AAHA, Southern California Veterinary Medical Association, Indiana Veterinary Medical Association, and Purdue University. He was recognized as a Distinguished Alumnus of the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Goebel has published articles in JAVMA, Veterinary Economics, and AAHA Trends. He earned his doctorate in veterinary medicine from Purdue University and completed coursework in the Veterinary Management Institute. He is a licensed real-estate broker in Indiana and receives continuing education from the Institute of Business Appraisers. He recently passed the certification requirements to become accredited by the Institute of Business Appraisers (AIBA).

David F. McCormick, MS

David McCormick is a veterinary practice appraiser, practice management consultant and speaker/writer on practice valuation and management issues. He has presented at the AVMA Annual Convention, the AVMA, NAVC and WVC meetings and the Southern European Veterinary Conference as well as many other regional and state veterinary management association conferences. He is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association’s faculty team teaching the Art of Veterinary Practice, Success for Life, and their Veterinary Management School, Level 1.

David McCormick is a member of the Institute of Business Appraisers and a Charter Member of VetPartners, (formerly the Association of Veterinary Practice Management Consultants and Advisors). He has served as the President (2006) and Secretary (2001-2003), and is currently a member of the Nominations Committee and the Veterinary Valuation Resource Council. He is the practice management program coordinator for the Western Veterinary Conference 2011 – 2013 meetings. He held a similar position for the AVMA’s 2003-2007 National Conventions.

Sherry L. Everhart, BS, CVT

Sherry Everhart joined the Simmons Mid Atlantic team in 2008 as a practice appraiser and management consultant. Starting her career as a technician in 1987, she has over 20 years experience in the veterinary field. She has experience in all aspects of practice management including budgeting and financial analysis, inventory management, strategizing for growth and personnel management. Most recently she was the Hospital Administrator of a corporate owned, full-service, AAHA accredited small animal veterinary hospital. Under her management, she successfully guided the practice through numerous AAHA accreditation renewals and in 2005 earned NVA’s President’s Award for financial performance and outstanding quality medical care.

Sherry earned her B.S. in Accounting from Penn State University in June 2006 with emphasis in corporate financial management and graduating with highest distinction. She earned her A.S. in Veterinary Technology from Harcum College in 1986. She is a member of the Institute of Business Appraisers, the Veterinary Hospital Management Association, the National Collegiate of Scholars and the Golden Key National Honor Society.
