Stroll along the Battery parade to see some of the city’s most stunning homes and look out over Charleston Harbor to historic Fort Sumter, a federal stronghold where the first shots of the Civil War were fired. Tour the French Quarter to view the incredible wrought iron gates that date back to the colonial era. Looking for something a little more sedentary? Venture just outside of the city to enjoy the beautiful beaches of Isle of Palms and Sullivan’s Island.
